The family had previously worked with us for family portraits. After their mother’s passing, they reached out with a heartfelt request: they wanted to display a special portrait of her alone at the funeral home. The original photo included other family members, so our first task was to carefully edit the image to isolate her with a natural, respectful look.
The Process
We meticulously edited the portrait to remove the other individuals while preserving her warm expression and personality. Once the editing was complete, we produced a large-format 2 foot by 3 foot print on high-quality photographic paper. To ensure it would stand beautifully in the funeral home, we dry-mounted the portrait onto a rigid foam board, giving it a clean, professional, and sturdy finish without the need for a heavy frame.
The result was an elegant, life-sized memorial portrait that allowed friends and family to celebrate her life in a dignified and comforting way.
